    Degrees earned in as little as 18 months - As a working adult, you’ll be able to earn your accelerated Health Care Administration or Nursing degree at West Coast University. In many cases the Associate of Science degree can be earned in as little as 18 months, while the Bachelor of Science degree can be achieved in just 38 months.


    Information on Programs Offered:

    The Associate of Science Degree in Health Care Administration provides you with a comprehensive foundation in general education, computer literacy and specialized health care occupation courses. When you complete your degree you’ll be qualified to deliver administration services in a variety of health care settings. Efficient management, problem-solving, and effective communication will be skills that you will be able to offer in your role as a health care administrator.

     

    The Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration allows you to apply for a management role in a health care organization. The program includes general education, computer literacy, specialized health care occupation, and health administration content. Upon completion of the program, you will be qualified to take your place in administration services in a variety of health care settings.

    Earn Your Associate Degree in Health Information Technology

    Whether you are currently working in the healthcare industry, or beginning your healthcare career, West Coast University’s Associate Degree in Health Information Technology (HIT) will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to pursue a successful career in one of today’s fastest growing fields!

    Must have an LVN to apply.

    The current opportunities for licensed registered nurses are tremendous. We help our students to launch their careers, and also help licensed vocational nurses (LVN/LPN) obtain their Associate Degree in Nursing and become eligible to sit for the NCLEX RN (National Council Licensure Examination) licensing examination.

    West Coast University’s Associate Degree in Nursing program is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), and nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). This is a full-time program, and both theory and clinical classes may occur on any day of the week or weekend. Clinical classes are held at several acute care hospitals throughout the Southern California area.

    The nursing education you receive is accelerated, and includes 80 weeks of classes. It will provide you with all the clinical experience necessary to be a safe practitioner, and will prepare you to sit for the NCLEX RN.

    The Bachelor Degree in Nursing provides Registered Nurses who have completed an Associate Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) with the opportunity to earn an advanced degree while still maintaining a full-time work schedule as a Registered Nurse. To meet the needs of today’s Registered Nurses with demanding jobs, students can earn their Bachelor Degree in West Coast University’s accelerated program, an 18-month (or less) program that consists of four semesters.

    The RN to BSN curriculum covers a wide range of topics from Pharmacology to Cultural Pluralism and Issues to Trends in Nursing.
