    Heald College has grown in the last 140 years from one campus in San Francisco to 11 campuses throughout the western United States in California, Oregon and Hawaii. So, unlike many other career colleges, we didn't start yesterday and won't stop tomorrow.

    In addition to taking courses in their chosen program area, Heald students study contemporary literature and culture, ethical practices, and personal and social responsibility. They also perform basic tests on the premises, including drawing blood, administering injections, removing sutures, and changing dressings using infection control and universal precautions.

    On the administrative side, Medical Assistants typically update and file patient records, handle insurance forms, schedule appointments, arrange for hospital admissions and lab services, and assist with billing.
