  • Heald College - Education to Last a Lifetime

Heald College has grown in the last 140 years from one campus in San Francisco to 11 campuses throughout the western United States in California, Oregon and Hawaii. So, unlike many other career colleges, we didn't start yesterday and won't stop tomorrow.

In addition to taking courses in their chosen program area, Heald students study contemporary literature and culture, ethical practices, and personal and social responsibility. We also help them develop confidence, leadership abilities, collaboration techniques, and communication skills. While employers are eager to find employees with technical proficiency, these "soft" skills are extremely important in a professional environment.

Unlike other career colleges, earning an associate degree at Heald College is much more than just skill training. At Heald, we provide our students with all of the resources necessary to become well-rounded, highly motivated, qualified candidates for great jobs.

Is a construction management career right for me? Construction management personnel oversee a construction project from beginning to end. They possess excellent leadership skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt to changes quickly.

If the following qualities describe you, Construction Management might be a good career choice: * Good communicator * Analytical * Work well under pressure * Organized * Decisive * Solutions oriented * Team player * Campus availability * Sit in on a class * Contact an advisor now

What's the job outlook? As the population booms and businesses prosper, the level of construction will grow. The increased complexity of construction projects due to new advances in building materials and construction methods will boost demand for specialized management-level personnel within the construction industry. The working conditions in the construction industry are challenging, so jobs often do not attract a sufficient number of qualified job seekers.
