    Information on Programs Offered:

    This program prepares you for an entry level position as an EKG Technician/Lab Assistant or Phlebotomist, performing several laboratory procedures in hematology, bacteriology, urinalysis, electrocardiography, phlebotomy and vital signs. Graduates of this program will have appropriate communication skills and be CPR certified. National Career Education is a NCCT Testing Site for the National Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 certification.

    Graduates of the Medical Assistant program will be prepared to assist physicians in medical office examinations; perform basic laboratory skills and procedures; record, monitor and mount electrocardiograms. In the front office, the Medical Assistant will perform the administrative duties of the office including bookkeeping, record management, appointment scheduling, insurance, and medical practice management.

    This unique program prepares you for a career as an Optometric Assistant or Optician where you will test patients for visual acuity, depth perception and color blindness. You will also learn the use of precision optical instruments and lens-edging machines.

    Graduates of this 8-month diploma program are trained to work in entry-level pharmacy environments such as HMO pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and retail pharmacies such as those found in drug stores and supermarkets. This program provides students with the theory and hands-on experience needed to obtain employment as a pharmacy technician.

    Students and graduates of this program are eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification test. Students are also eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician test developed by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
