Court Reporters are trained to type in excess of 200 words per minute on a stenotype machine while completing a specialized academic curriculum. A Certified Shorthand Reporter is licensed by the State of California to record verbatim testimony at various legal proceedings.

At the completion of your program you will be proficient in legal office computer software, word processing, calendaring, typing, punctuation, English, and written and oral communications. Under the supervision of an attorney, you will prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, and subpoenas. You will also assist in many other facets of the fast-paced legal office environment.
